Y1 - Willow
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to Willow Class! This year marks an exciting transition for our children as they move from Foundation Stage to the National Curriculum.
In Year 1, our little learners will flourish and blossom, gaining confidence and independence in their learning journey. Through engaging, practical, and hands-on activities, we work collaboratively to deepen our knowledge and understanding of the world around us.
Our dedicated team, led by Mrs Blunt, is fully committed to providing the best learning experiences possible. We are always here to support our children and families, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need us!
We can't wait for a busy and fun-filled year ahead, filled with opportunities for every child to shine!
Stay tuned for updates, activities, and highlights from our adventures in Willow Class!

Home Reading books
Whilst your child will read regularly in school, you can make a big difference by listening to your child read and asking them questions about what they have read for just ten minutes each night. Your child will bring home a reading bookmark. Please update this each time they read at home. Once your child completes the coloured bookmark, they move on to the next rainbow-coloured bookmark. Once a rainbow of bookmarks is completed, they will earn their bronze, silver or gold reading certificate.
